Sound as a Visual Language

This project is inspired by Chladni Figures, where sound vibrations create visible patterns on a surface. I translated this physical phenomenon into a visual system by designing a series of responsive graphic forms. Different frequencies, rhythms, and intensities generate distinct patterns, allowing sound to be not only heard, but also seen.

Building on this, I connected these visuals directly to musical rhythm, enabling them to move and evolve in real time with the audio. This creates a synchronized relationship between sound and image, turning abstract musical structures into something more intuitive and perceptible.

At the same time, the project addresses a practical gap in music creation. While music exists in many forms, professional tools like Logic Pro can be difficult for beginners to access. Not everyone knows how to use complex production software. However, just like image editing, where most people may not use Photoshop but are familiar with simple mobile apps, I believe music creation can be made more approachable.

VERA is designed as a lightweight and accessible music application. With simplified interfaces and intuitive interactions, it allows users without technical knowledge to explore sound through visual and tactile feedback. Music becomes less about expertise, and more about participation and expression.Built a fashion-forward digital storefront with smooth transitions and clean typography.
