ABOUT
Created during my senior year at the School of Visual Arts, this conceptual visual identity for the Whitney Museum of American Art centers on “Reconstruct to Ascend.” Inspired by the building’s vertical structure and movable gallery walls, I designed a modular, pixel-based typeface whose units rearrange and transform to express artistic diversity, evolution, and growth.
The system retains Whitney’s black, white, and gray palette while introducing vivid accents for the 2026 Biennial. It extends across wayfinding, websites, posters, motion graphics, and merchandise, creating a cohesive and adaptable visual language.
